Where Are All the Innocents?

Lately, I've been hearing far too much about young, innocent people dying from being hit by drunk drivers, or being raped, or shot, or murdered/killed in so many horrible ways.

Here we are, carrying on with our daily lives, laughing and joking without a care in the world, falling in love, in our naive little bubble of happiness, while innocent people are out there dying from things that could have been prevented. 

Drunk drivers.

School shootings.

Rapists.

Maybe we could actually DO SOMETHING about these things, if we were not so vainly obsessed with our own lives. 

Attackers, drunk drivers, murderers, and countless other criminals get away with what they do because many of us are too carefree to worry ourselves with defending strangers.

But would we choose an innocent stranger over a guilty friend?

Evidently, many people would. 

I feel as though, by sitting back and doing nothing, we are allowing these criminals to thrive. We are letting these innocent people die. 

Hearing about these innocent deaths, I can't just sit back and do nothing. I want to make a difference. But I'm only an ordinary teenager, and I can't do this alone. I need your support.

I want everyone to know that innocent people are dying, and I want everyone to know that something can be done. And I feel that spreading the word is a simple way to solve a huge problem. 

Please, help me.


Where are all the innocents? 

Help me save them.

Maybe we can find them again.

Maybe they will return.
